Invitation to a Manhattan Institute Event on the New American Heartland in Indianapolis

At the Manhattan Institute, we’ve been spending a lot of time in the past year engaging with the various successes, opportunities, and challenges that the communities in our very diverse country face. As part of that we’ve held events in select cities around the country that got great reviews and helped stimulate a lot good conversations around the country. My branding paper, presented in Akron, was part of that.

For those of you who are in the Indianapolis area or are up for making the trip, we are hosting an event called The New American Heartland on Wednesday the 24th at the Columbia Club downtown on the Circle.

I want to extend an invitation to you my readers to attend. It’s free. All you need to do is RSVP here.

I am going to be speaking and will be giving a sneak peek at some of my future work. And might I say something about INDOT’s I-65/I-70 plan through downtown, perhaps?

If we’ve never gotten a chance to meet in person, please do come because it will be a great opportunity to engage with those of you’ve who’ve been loyal followers of the Urbanophile, some of you from the early days.

World-renowned Harvard economist Ed Glaeser, author of New York Times bestseller Triumph of the City, will also speak. We’ll be doing a Q&A with Gov. Holcomb, have a panel of mayors, and more. It is a thoroughly bi-partisan event as well.

Do you care about the future of the Midwest and greater Heartland of the country? Then check out the full agenda, register for free, and I’ll see you there.
